Ruddy is a decent goalkeeper.

Re: Keeper Situation
Al Habsi is fucking gash.

I really liked what I saw of that Darlo when we played Forest last year, didn't have lots to do, but came and collected every cross, commanded his area well, looked excellent to me.

Unfortunately, Newcastle signed him!

Re: Keeper Situation
Viktor Valdez is too short.and although he fits the bill inany respects

He would be a difficult player for our current coaching team.

Re: Keeper Situation
a shout between Al Habri and Tyton.

Stockdale lacks leadership qualities

Hugh Monteith 1:55 Tue Oct 21
Re: Keeper Situation
Papa Camara is still very young for a first choice keeper but he is being nurtured by Yohann Pele who apart from his illness was one of the Goalies that West Ham were interested in a few years ago.
A season swap with SPEIGEL would be useful

Re: Keeper Situation
How about Stockdale, always impressed me last season and now at Brighton.Alot of Fulhamfans I know feel Magath made a big mistake selling him.David Marshall of Cardiff is decent.

Ruddy is a good shout, but I rate others in front of him

Re: Keeper Situation
Ruddy's decent, but not sure he fits the bill if we have ambitions to be top 6 over the next few seasons.

Re: Keeper Situation
Me calling you son,is an old East end sign of kinship, truely no offence meant.

Both are exceptional players.
i would not have signed ADRIAN but he shown me enough, for me to consider him a Hammer.

We do need one other Goalie to add to our squad.
one who will bring in the abilities and facets that we currently lack

Re: Keeper Situation
Ruddy would fit the bill.Good keeper.

Re: Keeper Situation
Tyton is on a season long loan at Elche in La Liga and may not be available. We need a goalkeeper used to English football someone like John Ruddy of Norwich would fit the bill.

Didn't Tyton do well for Poland after Szczney was sent off recently Hugh?

Personally I think Adrian (unless there are a number of ricks) will be no.1 this season so he has an excellent opportunity to stake his claim longer term. If he's not up to it, I'd like to see us go for someone like Cillessen of Ajax.

Re: Keeper Situation
Son ?
So in your own words neither offer the goaldefending standard that you want for West Ham.Enough said.

Hugh Monteith 1:21 Tue Oct 21
Re: Keeper Situation
you can disagree son,thats OK.

But Jussis bossing of the Box is world class and Adrans shot stopping is often brilliant, however neither of them are at present offering the goaldefending standard that I want for west Ham,

among the players that i admire and who I believe fit the bill.is Tyton

W6Hammer 1:14 Tue Oct 21
Re: Keeper Situation
Hugh...

I happen to disagree with your judgement regarding our keepers,I don't see Jussi as world class on his day and neither do I think Adrian is brilliant.

Hugh Monteith 1:01 Tue Oct 21
Re: Keeper Situation
Jussi is a squad Goalie now,and on his day is still World Class,
ADRIAN is an assett to the squad ,absolutely brilliant but not the boss of the box.
We need another Keeper possibly Tyton

W6Hammer 12:56 Tue Oct 21
Re: Keeper Situation
I see Adrian as a weak link of our team.I think we could get a much better keeper than him and personally hope that happens in January. If you want to improve you have to be ruthless and make tough decisions.Jussi as a back up is past his best as well.

Re: Keeper Situation
you are onto an intriguing situation albeit dilemma.

As far as the active responsibilities for goalie recruitment is concerned,
Your guess is as good as mine.

TwinHammer network s monitor of goalies is my domain.

I have compiled a file of over 241 pages in length.
I currently favour a new coaching/scouting training network that would be a new system and process for the club.

as far a goalies are concerned I believe that the present custodian is a worthy member of the squad,he is learning things still, and his personality is a positive for the club,
jussi is still a great goaldefender and of great benefit to the club in a number of ways.

I am an admirer of Tyton the Polish Keeper who would really welcome the challenge of British football,
There is a young senegalese goalie who is an outstandingly agile boss of the box.
The two young and up and coming English keepers are the Watford Starlet Bond and the superb Southend Hammers supporter Bentley.

If you want to know more from my file,i will post but it will possibly get deleted, or get its content changed,as is the way things are on here at present,

Dont you just hate it when that happens

Re: Keeper Situation
Whoever is doing the monitoring hugh should be demoted to milk monitor.

Our current crop: 1. A Spaniard who doesn't speak much English ( helps with the communication) and appears to be a liability at regular intervals. 2. A 40 year old with early signs of osteo arthritis. 3. A young Swiss lad untried at a high level who could be a bigger liability than no.1.
